Is Africology natural?
Africology has a deep routed belief which goes against the use of chemicals such as parabens, propylene glycol and other synthetic materials all together. Instead we capture the intelligence of nature in order to create products which are results driven.
How long will my Africology products last?
Considering all Africology products are free from chemicals our products will not have the shelf life of a product which does. However we have designed the product with bio-identical ingredients which allow the lifespan of the product to be 8-12 months UNOPENED, 6-8 months ONCE OPENED.
Where is Africology produced?
All Africology products are produced in South Africa. Africology proudly endorses the use of indigenous ingredients such as Aloe, Rooibos, Marula and African potato.
Does Africology have any certification for their products?
All Africology products are manufactured to the highest standards in a certified laboratory. Furthermore all Africology products have undergone intensive testing by independent, internationally recognised testing laboratories. All products have been DERMATOLOGICALLY tested, ALLERGY tested and TOXICOLOGICALLY tested and have passed with flying colours.
Does Africology test their products on Animals?
Africology strongly disagrees with the practice of animal testing, so much so that all of our dermatological testing is performed upon human test subjects with prior consent.
How long until I begin seeing results from my Africology products purchased?
Keeping in mind that Africology is a natural product, free from harsh chemicals, the initial period for the visible results vary from immediate effects, from two weeks up to a month depending on the specific product and your previous choice of product. However all Africology products will get to work immediately, penetrating the upper dermis, flushing out toxins, boosting the skins natural immune system and restoring balance.
Are shipping costs included in the price?
All of our local South African based orders enjoy a flexible delivery rate for all orders under R600. Any orders over R600 in value will enjoy FREE DELIVERY. Please note that Africology makes use of third party courier companies and all tracking information will be supplied as soon as your order is dispatched. We recommend contacting the relevant courier directly in order to get real time results however our team is here to assist you.
Do you ship outside of the South Africa?
Africology ships to an ever growing international audience. Africology makes use of DHL express shipping and your shipping rates are automatically calculated upon checkout based on your product selection and accompanying weights and dimensions. Please note that depending on your location there may be additional duties/customs payable.
What Shipping methods do you offer?
We have a standard courier delivery being 3-5 days for local orders and 2 weeks for international orders. If you have special requirements please contact us and note that extra charges may be added to your order.
How long does it take to get my shipment?
If your product is available immediately, shipment will take 3-5 days.
If I order my product today, when will it ship?
Much of the Africology range is hand crafted in small batches to ensure optimum product efficacy and overall care for each product. With that in mind we do our best to follow a 4-7 day lead time from date of purchase to dispatch, excluding courier delivery timeframes.
How long has Africology been around?
Africology has been on the market for well over 10 years; the brand itself however had been in conceptualization stages and production for up to 15 years.
Can I return or exchange my order?
1. Defective Goods, Adverse Reactions and Returns or Refund Policy
1.1. Subject to s56 of the Consumer Protection Act No. 68 of 2008, (“the CPA”), if You have received a product from Us and found that the container (either plastic or glass), is defective or leaking, or if the pump or nozzle mechanism is defective, please contact our Customer Care Line at +2711-791-6890 within ten (10) days of purchase and we will gladly collect the product at Our own expense and provide You with a refund, replacement or store credit.
1.2. Some products (such as many anti-ageing creams) sold on the Website contain active ingredients. Many of these products can cause a transient, mild irritation of the skin upon initial use thereof. We thus recommend using these products not more than three times per week initially and then gradually increasing to daily use. If You have developed a more severe reaction to any of these products supplied by Us, please contact us on our Customer Care Line at +2711-791-6890. An experienced staff member, or Renchia Droganis herself, will endeavor to resolve any adverse reactions. Refunds on creams causing an adverse reaction will be judged on an individual basis.
1.3. Upon your order having left our premises (ie. has been shipped) if You no longer want the product(s) You have ordered, you may return it to our physical address within 5 days at Your own expense. If the product is unopened and the original packaging is still intact, We will provide You with a Africology credit. We do not provide monetary refunds in these circumstances.
1.4. Subject to Section 56 of the CPA, the above clauses in paragraph 1 are subject to the following reasonable guidelines:
1.4.1. Products must have been purchased directly from Us. We cannot accept returns of products purchased from other retail outlets. Please return those to the store where purchased.
1.4.2. Products must be returned within 30 days of order date.
1.4.3. Please include a copy of your receipt (or a note with your order #, name, email address and phone number) and your reason for returning the product(s).
1.4.4. We cannot accept returns or issue refunds on used products.
1.4.5. Original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable (if applicable).
1.4.6.Products specified as non-returnable or not for resale cannot be returned.
Please Note: We cannot exchange or refund gift vouchers or promotional items. Treatment Vouchers may not be exchanged for cash or products.
Before you purchase or use any of our products, we recommend that you consult your medical practitioner should you not be sure of any of our active ingredients. We only use ingredients that have been approved by a toxicologist to ensure safety and efficacy. Our formulations are further tested by a dermatologist on human skin to ensure it is hypoallergenic and gentle on the skin. While we have made every effort to ensure that our products, treatments and formulations meet the highest safety standards, Africology will not be responsible to you or any third party for any claim, damage, injury or loss that may result from the failure to use the product as intended. Africology makes no medical claims as to the benefits of the product to improve the general health of individuals, and does not endorse the use of any of our products in general, for medical use.
