Perhaps one of the most easily recognised scents, peppermint has a wide variety of uses. It can relieve bloating, colic and flatulence, as well as catarrh and travel sickness. It is an anti-spasmodic, digestive tonic, diaphoretic, bile stimulant, and analgesic.

Peppermint oil can be burnt in an aromatherapy burner in small amounts to assist with nausea and general ill health. It can be added to smoothies and lemon water to assist with stomach upsets. Due to its potency, peppermint not be used in any form on children under four.

How to use

This oil can be mixed with Africology Essence Free Balm to create your own bespoke balm. Add a few drops to a bottle of water to ease digestive issues. It can also be mixed with natural base oils such as grape seed oil to create a massage oil. Also ideal for use in an aromatherapy burner.
