Sacred Marula Harvesting

The Marula fruit is regarded as sacred, and is not allowed to be consumed without a blessing and gratitude for its growth and readiness to be eaten.

Each February, beneath the sacred marula trees in the early hours before sunrise, healers start playing drums, chanting and thanking the ancestors for the abundant gifts of the fruit. We are indeed blessed to have a product that is as sacred as it is healing.
