If there is an opportunity to bring beauty and joy into the life of another, we will always embrace it. It is especially important to us to uplift those who going through difficult times, and we are honoured to partner with Reach for A Dream to realise the dreams of children who are fighting life-threatening illnesses.

The Queen for a Day initiative lifts the spirits and builds the confidence of little girls who are battling illness. Their day begins with the arrival of a limo, which whisks them away to a spa for a mani-pedi and make-up session. After that, they are adorned with a sash and tiara from a beauty queen. After their runway walk down a red carpet, they enjoy a tea party and gifts. A goodie bag, pink shirt and photos by a professional photographer capture the memories of the day for them. These brave little girls get to meet each other outside the sterile, difficult world of the hospital.

Africology is the proud contributor of Queen for a Day, and we are privileged to work with Reach for a Dream in making magical days like this possible. We love having the girls at our Maslow spa, and to see their bravery and joy. We are honoured to remind them that they are beautiful, and that no matter how their medication or illness changes them, they are all queens.
